Idea Development
In my previous proposal (Task 1), I introduced an AR-based educational quiz app. After further development and reflection, I have enhanced the concept by combining quizzes with gamification elements. While the core idea remains, using quizzes to teach animal related knowledge.

Users can unlock their own virtual animal by answering quiz questions, then scan and interact with the animal in AR. Through continued quiz participation, they can feed their animal, which encourages regular learning habits and deeper engagement. This gamified approach not only makes education fun but also builds consistency and curiosity in the learning process.

REFLECTION

Designing an AR application is quite different from previous modules like application design. It requires additional consideration such as interface designAR experience optimizationuser interaction flow, and problem-solving through user-centric features. The goal is not only to create a functional app but to deliver an experience that is engaging and encourages users to return repeatedly.

My idea was quite simple and lacked excitement at start. However, after reviewing the overall user flow and audience needs, I refined the concept by adding gamified features and tailoring the experience to be more appealing to kids and younger users. These adjustments make the app more interactive, fun and suitable for its educational purpose.

I will continue improving the mockup to ensure that, once fully developed, the user experience is smooth and intuitive. I’m looking forward to building the prototype in Unity, there will be more technical challenges ahead. I’m hopeful that the development process will go smoothly and the final outcome will be a rewarding and effective AR learning app.
