Task 1: Thematic Interactive Website Proposal

INSTRUCTION

Task 1 - Thematic Interactive Website Proposal

Thematic Interactive Website Proposal for Brand Engagement. A thematic interactive website is a website that focuses on a specific theme or concept with the aim of incorporating interactive elements to interact with users.

Requirements

1. A specific product of a particular brand launch/special (i.e.: Nike brand new shoe), Beauty product launch (i.e.: Sephora compact powder)
2. Movie promotion
3. Game release promotion.
4. Gallery/Museum exhibit launch
5. Band/Artist latest release.

Proposed Ideas

Brainstorming
Initially, I saw a video on Instagram showing a vending machine in Japan that sells cakes in cans. The cakes looked very adorable and the colors were attractive. The brand is called 'Okashi Gaku.' So, I decided to do a product release under my own name but with the same concept of cakes in cans for my project. The focus is to introduce the product line and the flavors I offer on the website.

Idea: Product Release - Can Cake (Pai Patisserie)
Objectives:
- To Promote the Brand
- To Introduce Can Cake Product Line
- To Increase Sales and Customer Engagement

Interactive elements:
1. Can Cake Flavor Release Animating Calendar: Interactive release calendar featuring upcoming can cake flavors and special editions with animations. The can cake follows a countdown timeline, gradually revealing more details until the full version is shown, creating anticipation for the release.
2. Animated Ingredient Reveal: Interactive animation where users can click or swipe to reveal each ingredient used in the can cakes, with information about the quality and source of each.

Final Proposal Document

REFLECTION

Creating a thematic interactive website is very meaningful to me because this product is also running in real life. In the beginning, it will be a bit challenging to find suitable colors, and I also need to consider animations that can interact with users and provide them with information at the same time. The current proposal still has many uncertainties in terms of layout and there are definitely better designs out there. I will use my available time to explore and incorporate various ideas into my final project and I’m very excited to see how it will turn out.
