INSTRUCTION

Exercise 1: Quantify & Visualize Data

In this exercise, we are required to quantify our chosen objects and arrange them into a presentable layout or chart. The object I use is M&M chocolate.

Exercise 2 - L.A.T.C.H

In this exercise, we have to organize a group of information into a visual poster that combines and utilizes the LATCH principles (Minimum 4). We are required to use the digital photo editing/illustration software available to assemble the information into a LATCH infographic poster. We are allowed to reuse back the images but you have to create the rest of visuals to complete the poster.

I decided to pick one of the suggested compiled data sets, BMW Roadster for this exercise. First of all, I listed out the information I wanted to include in the infographic poster. I categorized them according to time, which includes the model series and year. I also listed additional information, such as the engine liter.

L.A.T.C.H
L (Location): German / United States
A (Alphabet): Car models listed in alphabetical order
T (Time): 1989 / 1995 / 1998 / 2003 / 2009 / 2018
H (Hierarchy): Organized by engine liter size

Visual Reference

This may contain: a person holding up a cell phone in front of a poster that says app development    This may contain: the poster is showing different types of objects on it's side, including an object that looks like a stick    This may contain: the history of bauhus infographia poster from 1932 - 1970, with images of men and buildings

REFLECTION

I really enjoy both exercises as they helped me understand how to categorize a lot of information in one poster and recognize its importance. The first exercise was quite fun, though the hardest part is just finding the material. The second exercise was very interesting and one of the things I hoped to learn before. I really appreciate that I got to learn it.
