REFLECTIONS
Experiences: I think my journey to learn typography has been fruitful. Most of the tasks were interesting, and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire process. While there were challenges that sometimes made me feel overwhelmed, it was my first time working on numerous typography tasks. The process was time-consuming, demanding close attention to every detail. I was delighted to receive feedback from Mr. Vinod, enabling me to either complete the tasks or revise them to improve their quality. Although this was my first experience with typography, I appreciate the opportunity to learn the basics of typography, including theory and technical skills, in such a short period of time.
Observation: After completing this module, I have developed a heightened sense of observation when it comes to text in my surroundings. I find myself actively scrutinizing the typography used on billboards, menus, posters, websites, and etc. Upon encountering text, I engage in critical thinking, contemplating how I could enhance the typography if given me the opportunity. This newfound perspective has allowed me to appreciate the importance of typography in various contexts and fuels my desire for continuous improvement in this field.
Findings: I have discovered a genuine attraction to typography and realized that there is much more to explore and learn in this field. Typography appears to be intertwined with numerous aspects of our daily lives, reflecting its significance in our lifestyle. In general, I found this module to be highly engaging and captivating. Looking ahead, I eagerly anticipate the next semester, advanced typography. The prospect of undertaking more intriguing assignments in the future fills me with excitement and anticipation.
