INSTRUCTIONS
Research 01:
1a.What is Poster Design?
1a.What is Poster Design?
Poster design is the art and practice of creating visual compositions that are intended to be displayed in public places. Posters are usually large, eye-catching that are designed to convey a specific message or promote a particular event, product, or service. Poster design involves a combination of graphic design principles, typography, and imagery to create a composition that is visually appealing and communicates its intended message clearly and effectively.
1b.What is good poster design?
Keep it simple, clear and concise.
1. Attention-Grabbing: A good poster design should be eye-catching and grab the viewer's attention.
2. Clarity: The message conveyed by the poster should be clear and easy to understand at a glance.
3. Typography: Fonts should be legible and easy to read, even from a distance.
4. Color: A good color scheme can enhance the message and make the poster more visually appealing.
5. Message: The message of the poster should be conveyed effectively and leave a lasting impression on the viewer.
1c.What is a photographic poster? What is an illustrated poster?
Photographic poster: Usually contains a photograph in the limelight, with some supporting elements like text, iconography etc. These posters are typically used to promote events, products, or services, and the photographs used in the design may be original or stock images.
Illustrated poster: Usually containing textual or graphic elements, on a large sheet, designed to be affixed to a wall or other vertical surface. These posters may be created using traditional illustration techniques or digital design tools. Illustrated posters may also include text, but the illustrations are usually the main focus of the design.

2a. What is Double Exposure? Double exposure is a combination of two exposures in one image to produce evocative results. Double exposure can be achieved by layering two or more images on top of each other using image editing software. Double exposure is a photographic technique that combines two images in a single photograph to create unique and striking visual effects. It is popular in portrait and fine art photography and can also be used in graphic design to create dynamic compositions.

2b. What is Digital Double Exposure?
Digital double exposure is a technique used in
digital image editing to blend two or more
images together to create a visually striking
and surreal effect. It involves layering images
and using layer masks and blending modes to
create a unique composition. The technique is
popular in fine art photography and graphic

My Theme: QUALITY EDUCATION
Intro: I choose quality education as the theme because it is a hot topic and a fundamental human right that should be accessible to all, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Keyword related to my idea:
“ Education is not a privilege, it's a right.”
“ It has the power to change lives and create a better world for all."
Summary: To create the poster design that conveys the theme of "Quality Education" and show the idea that "Education is not a privilege, it's a right," I will choose a bold and eye-catching font, and use images or graphics that support the theme of the poster, such as an image of students studying or graduation day with a big smiling face. Using the images that showcase diversity to highlight that education is a right for everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or socioeconomic status.

After receiving feedback from Mr. Martin, it became apparent that my digital poster fails to effectively capture the essence of the artwork created using Photoshop. Initially, my original digital poster was a simple composition featuring a photograph with added typography to convey the intended theme. Consequently, I have made some adjustments in response to Mr. Martin's feedback.
Final Poster

| Fig 2.8 Final outcome |
This poster was inspired by my Week 7 Digital Photography & Imaging tutorial course, 'The Cyborg Tutorial'. Additionally, I did some research on Pinterest which helped me generate some ideas. In the design, I placed a child at the center of the poster and divided it in half, incorporating education-related elements to represent a topic related to education.
I use color and design elements to create contrast, keep the poster visually appealing and easy to read. The purpose is to make the phrase and the theme stand out, and to inspire viewers to support quality education.
