Project 2 - Shooting Practice & Editing
Part A: Production Shoot

Production Shoot slide:

For the team shooting and separate editing approach, the production shooting is scheduled to take place on the specified day. Each team member will handle their assigned tasks during the shoot to ensure smooth teamwork. After the shoot, the editing process will be carried out individually, allowing each team member to contribute their creative perspective to the final product.

My group is Group B which we are tasked with Project B.

As a location camera assistant, my responsibilities include assisting the D.O.P with camera setup, managing the focus of the camera, especially during changes in the scene or camera movements. I also assist in transferring and backing up footage, as well as ensuring safety and coordination for a smooth production process.

After downloading the desired video and sound files, I imported them into Adobe Premiere Pro and performed color correction. Additionally, I downloaded some sound effects from a website called Pixabay.

I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit my video, incorporating a masking effect at the end to prevent the overall video from becoming boring and too simple.

REFLECTION

My experience with the TikTok Video and Production Shoot project was both exciting and challenging. I learned to enhance my videos with creative editing techniques like masking and smooth transitions. Filming solo for the first time felt odd, so I invited a coursemate to join at the end. Coordinating the shoot taught me valuable lessons in planning and organization. I also expanded my transition effect skills in Premiere Pro through YouTube tutorials. This task provided a great opportunity to learn and improve my editing and shooting skills.
