INSTRUCTIONS



1. Idea Development

Write a biography about yourself:
Tell us about yourself (INTRO)
My name is Lee Wing Kie. I’m currently in my first year first semester in Taylor’s University. I’m turning 20 years old this year.

PARAGRAPH 1
I consider myself to be a chill and sensibility person. I am confident… sometimes. I used to have a reserved demeanor around strangers. However as we become closer, I become more talkative.

PARAGRAPH 2
I take pleasure in listening to music and have a deep passion for photography. I dedicate a significant amount of time to researching techniques to enhance portrait photography, including angles and other aspects.

SUMMARY
I have a deep love for photography.

Write a statement about your work:
INTRO
As we are required to use a photo of ourselves, I personally find it slightly challenging due to my shyness in front of the camera. However, I thoroughly enjoy capturing photos of other people.

PARAGRAPH 1
As mentioned in my biography, my love for photography is evident. Therefore, I aim to incorporate my passion for photography and shooting into my design work. I plan to include elements related to photography, such as cameras, lighting equipment, tripods, and other relevant tools.

PARAGRAPH 2
For the second idea, I would like to incorporate ‘melting glitch transitions’ and 'cyberpunk' to represent the concept of "shutter speed" in a camera. By using these effects, I aim to visually convey the dynamic and fluid nature of capturing moments through photography.

SUMMARY
After experimenting with a mix of these two ideas, I have made the decision to move forward with my design.

2. Design Direction

After careful consideration, I made several changes to the background for the final poster. I found the previous sketch to have a somewhat dull background, so in the final digital poster, I enhanced it to make it more vibrant and visually appealing.

REFLECTIONS

This project provided an excellent opportunity to enhance our skills in animation, as well as improve our abilities in photography and graphic design. The most exciting part was discovering how much fun I found in using After Effects. I incorporated some transitions that I learned from YouTube into my final project. Through a lot of practice and testing, I finally achieved the desired result. I am satisfied with the final outcome of my poster and feel grateful for the opportunity to work on this project.
